How much does it cost to record a song?
Recording and mixing are billed hourly, we aim to accommodate all budgets with rates ranging from $75 to $125 depending on the technician’s experience. Mixing is charged at the same rate as the technician who took your session.
How long does it take to record a song?
On average, a 3–5 minute song requires about 2 hours of recording and 1 hour of mixing done following the session. More complex projects may need additional time for recording or in-depth mixing. To ensure your session is scheduled appropriately, please discuss your project details with our secretary before booking.
how long does it usually take for a song to be ready?
Our standard turnaround is one week. You’ll receive the final mix within seven days of your recording session. If you’re working with a tighter deadline, let us know in advance—we’ll do our best to accommodate with expedited delivery.
How many people can come to each session?
Our spacious 1,200-square-foot studio and lounge comfortably accommodate large groups. We especially enjoy working with families, choirs, classes, bunks and groups of friends. Sessions are billed per hour, not per person—so the more, the merrier!
Do you charge for soundtracks?
Yes. Pre-existing tracks in our library are available for $15–$70. Creating a new backing track for an existing song costs $110 and creating a custom soundtrack for an original composition starts at $250.
What happens if you don’t have the soundtrack I’m looking to use?
No problem! If you’ve written an original piece or want to use a song without an existing instrumental, we can help. Keynor specializes in creating high-quality custom instrumentals with advanced MIDI technology. We can replicate any song or build an original track tailored to your style.
